A map?

A MAP.
Oh yes.
Every canon region of Pokemon has some sort of map. Another site I'm on with a custom region has a map.
Maps are fabulous. When added to general descriptions, it's pretty much impossible for the Player to be confused as to where they are at. Whether you do a sprite-style map or a basic drawing with labels, maps are helpful.
Plus, where you have a map it is a simple matter to add "route three has x, x, and x pokemon" descriptions. Helpful for any reference, whether staff is spawning a random encounter or a player is aiming to find a specific Pokemon!
So... map it up? *blushingsmiliehere*

This is a really good idea! I've thought about having a map for a while, I just haven't the time and I've never made one before so I can't promise it will turn out well..
Perhaps I will add it to the Artist Event in case anyone else wants to make one, and I'll also add it to my list of admin-ly duties to at least attempt.
Thanks for the lovely suggestion, dear!

I'd be happy to do a map for you, I've done several before. Mind you it will not be very fancy, but if you give me the layout of areas and general regions I can create a decent one. And I of course will be willing to edit and re-edit until you are happy with it =D

I would love that! It shouldn't be too difficult. It's basically a large island with a huge mountain (Mt. Ivy) right in the center. The routes make a perfect circle around it, starting in Western Ivy (on the left of the mountain). Northern Ivy is above the mountain, Eastern to the right, and Southern on the bottom (obviously). Central island is the opposite of its name, it's actually a relatively small island off the coast of Western Ivy. The descriptions of the routes should give you an idea of the terrain. Once you hit Southern Ivy, those routes start going up the mountain. Ahh.. I think that's it, really. If I haven't elaborated enough or you have any questions just let me know!

I need to know this: about how large (in pixels. Or inches. GIMP can take both xD) should the map be?

Ahh, up to you. Large, preferably. If it stretches the board we can always link to it as opposed to putting it in a post.
